DONT BUY A MEMBERSHIP OF THIS BRAND THOUGH IT IS A GREAT BRAND, BEFORE YOU READ THE ISSUES AND GET YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED I am writing this with deep disappointment and strong objection to the manner in which my membership benefits have been altered during an active term. I have been a loyal Accor member for over eight years. My decision to renew each year has always been based on a clearly defined value proposition structured benefits, complimentary nights, buffet entitlements, and voucher elements that justified the membership fee. However, what has transpired this time is unacceptable. 1. Mid-Term Policy Change Without Proper Communication Changing membership conditions in the middle of an active cycle is not just discourteous it borders on a breach of consumer trust. Such significant alterations should have been communicated transparently and proactively through direct outreach, not through a generic email that conveniently lands in spam folders. For a hospitality brand of Accor’s stature, this is a serious lapse in professional conduct. 2. 50% Increase in Fees With Reduction of Benefits The renewal now reflects an almost 50% increase in pricing, while simultaneously stripping away core benefits no complimentary nights, no buffet entitlements, no meaningful voucher structure. How can members be expected to accept reduced value at a substantially higher cost? Membership fees are paid based on a contractual understanding of benefits. Across industries, when terms evolve, existing members are typically protected under grandfathered conditions. That is basic professional and commercial ethics. Why should loyal members absorb ad hoc changes after committing financially? 3. Arbitrary Conversion of Free Nights My two complimentary nights have been converted into a 4+4 structure, usable only within a compressed three-month window (Oct–Feb). This is unreasonable, particularly considering I was unable to utilise my earlier complimentary nights due to booking constraints and what appeared to be systematic unavailability. Now, the revised structure makes utilisation even more restrictive. Further, even upon renewal, there is no flexibility shown in extending unused vouchers despite my eight-year loyalty. That reflects a lack of customer sensitivity. This is not simply about benefits it is about fairness, transparency, and honoring long-standing relationships. Accor operates in the hospitality industry, where the customer is meant to be the central priority. This experience has been profoundly disappointing and inconsistent with that principle. I genuinely hope we can resolve this amicably and professionally. However, if no constructive resolution is offered, I will have no option but to escalate this through appropriate consumer channels and online forums. With over 11 million views on my Google review contributions, I believe it is only fair that consumers are informed transparently about the exact nature of these policy shifts and their implications. I look forward to your formal response and a resolution that reflects the professionalism expected from a global hospitality brand.

Be wary not all Accor hotels offer the “one free room night” deal, and the hotline keeps you hanging and the automated call system is frustrating to say the least; even the “call back” function does not work. One expects much more of such a major brand; even the basics don’t work.

I signed up for Accor Plus in 31 July 2025, mainly for the Stay Plus “free night” benefit, but the experience has been extremely disappointing. I checked availability at Fairmont Singapore and Pullman Hill Street all the way until October 2026, and no Stay Plus nights are available at all. I don’t think the upcoming policy change (from October 2025, where members must pair the free night with a paid night) was disclosed when I joined. Even if it was mentioned briefly, how can it be fair that the dates are already fully blocked out more than a year in advance? I raised this issue by email, but have not received any proper reply or even an interim update. For a premium membership program, this lack of response shows the matter is not being treated seriously. This feels misleading — the benefit is advertised as a free night, but in reality it is either unavailable or comes with conditions that make it impractical. For a global brand like Accor, this is unacceptable. I hope Accor Plus reviews its practices. For now, I would not recommend anyone to purchase this membership until these issues are resolved.

Best price guarantee is closer to a marketing gimmick with lots of stringent conditions that they can use to dismiss you. Beware when you book with Accor. Member rates may not be the best - even though you booked earlier and paid in full.

Awesome CFO with a dedicated finance team.
