Jennifer Phillips2 weeks agoWe had an absolutely phenomenal stay with our 6 year old! The cool zone (kids club) staff are outstanding. I cannot say enough about how amazing they are. Our son did not want to leave every time we picked him up and just kept asking when he could go back. The resort has lots of great activities—board games, ping pong, and bikes for free. The pool is great with fast, friendly service. The food at all restaurants is yummy! Loved every minute of our week long stay.
Jenny Lee3 weeks agoA family friendly hotel with kids facilities and activities. Had a welcoming and pleasant stay. Love it! The services had improved since the last we visited 2 years ago. Our requests stated in our precheck-in were also fulfilled. We had lotsa fun!
Shay Sheinfeld3 weeks agoThis was our fourth stay at Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa, and unfortunately it was a disappointing experience compared to our previous visits. Check-in was supposed to be at 3:00 PM, but when we arrived at 4:00 PM our room was still not ready. The receptionist’s response was simply that “check-in starts at 3:00 PM,” which was not helpful given that we were already an hour past the stated time. We were then informed that the family room we had specifically booked for our family with two children and a baby was unavailable due to overbooking. After a lengthy discussion and escalation to a manager, they eventually found us a suitable room. Our package included breakfast and dinner, but during peak periods several food items ran out, along with plates and cutlery. We had to repeatedly ask for refills, and in some cases were told that certain items would not be replenished. We also had an unpleasant experience at the water slides. My daughter met the published height requirement of 1 meter, but staff repeatedly challenged her access because they felt she was too young. Instead of following the stated rules, they argued with us and made us feel judged for allowing her to use an attraction for which she was clearly eligible. This hotel has always been one of our family’s favorites, which makes this experience particularly disappointing. The issues seemed to stem from poor planning, inconsistent service, and staff not following the hotel’s own policies.
Estelle Poha month agoBooked this as a staycation for my children’s birthday, but the overall experience fell short of expectations, particularly given the price point. Check-in was inefficient. We arrived around 3.30pm and waited at least 30 minutes before being served. The front desk process appeared slow and manual, with most guests taking around 15–20 minutes to clear. During check-in, the room charge was processed incorrectly, and I was later contacted on the day of check-out to pay the shortfall. This was communicated in email as a “dining charge”, which created unnecessary confusion. We booked a ground family room with direct pool access, but the presence of mosquitoes and flies outside meant we could not comfortably use the pool-facing access as intended. The room was functional for our group size, but dated. The birthday cake and macarons were a thoughtful gesture and appreciated. The pool was enjoyable for the children, though the F&B pricing felt disproportionate to the quality offered. Breakfast had a wide variety, but the overall quality was average. The hotel did extend a 1-hour late check-out, which was appreciated. However, the overall experience felt below what I would expect at this price point. Until the property undergoes a meaningful refresh in both facilities and service execution, I am unlikely to return?
Sara Yasar5 months agoWe stayed at Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa for 11 days and had a wonderful time. The service was spectacular, everyone was friendly, attentive, and made the stay feel effortless. We also used room service, which was convenient and consistently good. A really nice touch was the small goodies and little treats they left in our room, those thoughtful details made us feel very welcomed. It’s also incredibly family-oriented with lots to do for kids: a kids’ club, a kids’ pool, and plenty of activities, including on the beach. Our little ones enjoyed every single day during our stay. Breakfast was another highlight, fantastic with many different options and something for everyone. Overall, a great choice for families and we’d happily return.
