  We stayed at this hotel in Kansas City for 5 days and 4 nights while attending an event. We booked directly through the hotel’s official website, where there was a small note mentioning an optional parking fee of $34 per day. At check-in, the front desk asked if we had a car, and we clearly answered “No.” However, when we checked out yesterday and received the final receipt, we were shocked to see that we had still been charged daily parking fees. We ended up paying over $180 for parking despite never parking a vehicle at the hotel. This experience was extremely disappointing and frustrating. Please carefully review your final bill if you stay here, as you may be charged unexpected fees without notice.

  Exceptional hotel in a perfect place! The room was large, had a full kitchen, very comfortable bed, and a full hot breakfast every morning!! Had a KC streetcar stop right outside! Made travel to the Hallmark Crown Center and Union Station so easy!! Will DEFINITELY be back next year!!

  My girlfriend and I were in town for the Chappell Roan show and we stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott Kansas City Downtown/Convention Center. It was truly a delightful stay from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, everyone on the staff made us feel genuinely welcome from the parking attendants, to the staff assisting us at check-in, the concierge and a friendly maintenance person performing some work on our floor. Their friendly greetings and willingness to help out really set the tone for the visit. The room (on the 8th floor with a terrific view of Main St) was impeccably clean and comfortable. One of the highlights was the hotel's location. We were just a short walk away from so many excellent restaurants, cafes and bars. We were able to comfortably walk between the hotel and the River Market area and between the hotel and the location of the concert which was in the park of The National WWI Museum and Memorial. Overall, this was a wonderful weekend getaway. We left feeling rested, well cared for and grateful for the warm hospitality. We look forward to returning to the hotel upon our next visit to Kansas City.

  We had an ADA room with roll-in/walk-in shower and a small kitchen. The room was sparking clean, well equipped and attractive. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was good. This property includes a Courtyard and Residence Inn that share a common lobby, reception desk and store. We dinner ate in the grill (on the Courtyard side). The flatbread pizzas and hand crafted drinks were terrific. Valet parking was a little awkward but they are moving to self parking in a few days. The lobby is just over a block from the free KC streetcar, so getting to Union Station, the City Market and other attractions is very easy.
