Jameel Kanea month ago"Terrible idea for whoever came up with putting this film over the windows of the 3rd floor windows. Not only are the walls not painted with motivating quotes or inspiring artwork, now the windows that gave the room life are plastered over with this filth. In between sets I and many other guests look out the windows toward the pigeons, people passing by, traffic or wherever our gaze leads us. Now that's taken away and the windows are just as boring and dead as the walls in the gym. If people complained about the mess the pigeons make on the balcony of the windows being an eyesore tell them to get over it. It's part of life. Imagine the eyesore we've given them by destroying their and other animals habitats. Take this crap down or at the very least hire a artist to paint the walls with motivating quotes and art.
RAVEN K.11 months agoGreat morning weekday staff. They know you by name and encourage you whether you’re swimming or working out in the gym. Pros: Free gated parking downtown and opens at 5 a.m. during the week. Clean, complete gym including the locker rooms. Zero-entry pool, sauna, whirlpool, lap pool, and steam room. Spin classes, yoga classes, free weights, water aerobics, book clubs, soccer field, basketball court, and cooking classes. Cons: I wish it were open later Mid day the pool closes from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. You can’t rent the lockers monthly or weekly. When it storms, the pool closes. Honestly, these are minor things. I love this gym.
MrK AB10 months agoStaff was helpful! Grateful to be able to work out in a full gym while traveling. Nicer equipment than my local ymcas with a rep counter, nice. I liked idea that there is a place to plug in your phone by the towels within an arm or twos length so safe. Wish third floor windows had shades, very warm in sun on climber. Gym is cooler inside than the premium hotel I am staying at nearby. Friendly staff and ac makes it. Internet is very good and fast as well here. Thank you
Ryan Zapko2 years agoVisited the facility on a day pass ($15) and the staff was fantastic. Unique set up is a welcoming mix of modern and historic (building used to be a theater). Airy and open with lots of natural light adding to the feeling of cleanliness. Machines and equipment was well appointed and plentiful for my early afternoon workout, but I can't speak to the "busy" hours of operation. Locker room was smallish, and I didn't get an opportunity to sample the sauna or steam room as they close daily from 1 to 4, but I will definitely return the next time I'm in town. Great gym!
Michael Eaton7 months agoGreat place. The staff are always helpful. The facility is clean and accessible. They have a ton of carido equipment and there always seems to be machinces available. If you are lifting, it might not be so great. The free weight section, in my experience, is always full with guys wearing three pairs of sweats and a tank top, just sitting on the benches and texting for hours. Mind boggling. Overall this place is great. Hot tub and lap pool as well.
