Veronika Gilmour4 months agoI’m so sick of Evergy monopolizing Wichita. They know we literally have no other energy choice provider, so that allows them to spike prices to ridiculous amounts & add other unnecessary fees. I despise this company! Their “evergy cares” is a scam & doesn’t care. They only wanted to work with me on $100 of the $1200 that was “past due”. It shouldn’t have been past due in the first place, but their policies are unfair & unjust causing a bill to substantially increase that was original around $300 to $1200. One of the worst companies in Kansas. If I’m writing a review, the company has to be horrible because i never take the time to leave reviews! 0/10 would NOT EVERRRR recommend.
Kaylin Auguste7 months agoI think it’s completely IDIOTIC to plan a scheduled outage on the weekend. I see right through it; it’s so that people can’t call customer service to ask when power will be restored. It is absolutely RIDICULOUS to cut power on a SUNDAY from 3PM to 10PM!! It is now 8PM and I am currently still without power. The website now says estimated restoration time is MIDNIGHT. PEOPLE HAVE WORK. PEOPLE HAVE CHILDREN. Why not do this on a WEEKDAY during BUSINESS HOURS so less people affected?! I hate Evergy with a burning passion. *UPDATE: Time of restoration has been updated to 4AM and workers are still “waiting for assignment.” THAT WILL BE 12 HOURS OF NO POWER with no real update since the linemen have doing NOTHING according to the app. This is downright DIABOLICAL, and right around the holidays when my refrigerator is FULL of food. As someone who is NOT originally from Kansas, this just adds to the many reasons of why I regret ever moving to this podunk town.
billy bob5 months agoThey keep sending me emails telling me my house is inefficient and I use more power than comparable houses they don't know what the hell they're talking about they don't know how many people live here they don't know my wife's on a high level of oxygen and has a concentrator running 24/7 that spins the meter and other medical equipment that use a lot of power so Don't lecture me on my house being inefficient if you don't know whatyou're talking about. Also we use all LED bulbs and have a brand new heat and air system that's very efficient so maybe you should just shut up
Matthew Mendez8 months agoI just don’t like energy companies.. imagine cutting off energy to a baby because you don’t get your money 🤣 oh but the ceo needs more jet fuel for his private jet.. my bad I guess your right babies should go without energy so you can have your luxury
Leola Westa year agoNever been on payment plan. I hear their the worse ever. U don't pay the full amount miss it by 0ne cent u will be did connect. With reconnect fee. Like u had the fund to begin with. Rates have went higher. This winter has been terriable for seniors!
