Joel Ouellette4 months agoBeware of poor client service! Booking a night stay at this hotel proved to be difficult from the start. Tried booking online, and was not able to get a confirmation that the reservation was accepted. Called to make the reservation, received a confirmation but the clerk took down the wrong credit card info so I played telephone tag with Brookstreet to get it corrected. No problem, mistakes happen right? Well it gets better. Checked in at brookstreet and found out I had two rooms booked, but the clerk over the phone said she couldnt find my reservation. No problem… they cancelled my additional booking. Went on to enjoy our stay with great spa treatments and enjoyed jazz in the lounge. Upon checking out, I left my key card at the desk not knowing I needed it to exit the garage. I get to the gate and had to pay to exit. Went straight back to the front desk to tell them what happened, they gave me a business card to call in to get reimbursed for the $50 parking fee. Played the back and forth game with their accounting team, showing the $50 parking charge on my credit card and they refused to reimburse me for something I already paid for in my package. This has been one of the worst client experiences I have ever had!!
Z D3 weeks agoThe stay was completely alright. We had some bizarre experience as there was a planned power cutoff from 11pm to 10am the following morning (no food outlet was available). Then another night, the battery in my door lock died and I had to make 3 round trips to the front desk from 14th floor at 10pm, while all I wanted was to go to sleep. Even despite all these events, we had a good stay. Pretty okay equipped gym.
Lester Ga month agoMy first stay at Brookstreet Hotel was a great experience from start to finish. The hotel felt clean, comfortable, and well-run, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout the visit. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the overall atmosphere made it an easy place to relax and enjoy the trip. What made the stay especially memorable was the energy around the hotel with PWHL fans in town for the tournament. Brookstreet has a strong sports connection, including being the official hotel of the Ottawa Senators, and it’s well known as a place where visiting teams and hockey fans often stay. That gave the whole visit a fun, exciting buzz, with the hotel feeling like part of the event itself rather than just a place to sleep. The amenities also added a lot to the experience. Brookstreet offers on-site dining, a spa, fitness facilities, pools, live jazz, kids’ activities, and secure underground parking, which makes it appealing for both adults and families. For a first-time stay, it came across as a polished, convenient, and lively hotel that worked really well for a tournament weekend. If you want, I can turn this into a shorter Google-style review or a more enthusiastic five-star version.
Reuben Castelinoa month agoThis hotel is like the kid that tries too hard to be cool. It aims to be a 4-star upscale luxurious hotel but misses the mark on so many fronts. Recently stayed there for a week. It was missing so many comforts and things people usually take for granted when staying at other hotels like Hilton and Marriott. For example, they don’t keep water bottles at the front desk or back room. So if you are running late to a meeting in the morning and forgot to get one from the 2 complimentary bottles stocked in your room fridge, you’re out of luck. At other hotels like Hilton, the front desk is happy to provide in such situations and whenever else required. Furthermore, in the age that we now live in, other competing hotel brands have digital key cards, etc. The Brookstreet is still stuck in the Stone Age in this realm. To take it further, if you want late checkout, you have to go to the front desk. You cannot just call them from your room and request unlike other competing hotel brands. Last but not the least, they not only charge you full cost upon check-in (unlike other hotels that charge you at the end of your stay) but also cannot provide you with a receipt of your stay if travelling on business and the booking was done via a travel agent for the company. I have never ever had an issue with this at other hotels (Hilton, Marriott,etc.). You should be able to provide me with the total charges/receipt for the stay even if done via an agent. They also cannot send you a copy to your email if you give it to them. It will only be a paper copy… To be honest, I won’t be returning to the Brookstreet. There are far better hotel brands at much cheaper prices that offer far more value and a better experience overall
William Craig4 weeks agoRelaxed business hotel. Attentive and caring staff. Location on golf course and terrific live jazz each evening the bar. Food was very good. Location is a little remote for my liking Nothing nearby.
