Located on the UC Irvine campus, the Bren Events Center provides an exciting and prestigious location in Orange County for a full array of sporting, musical performance, exhibition, and other public events. Home of UC Irvine’s basketball and volleyball programs, the Bren Event Center provides top quality, dynamic entertainment to thousands of fans, annually. The Bren Events Center, with a capacity of 5000, is built on two levels and features state-of-the-art design in lighting, sound system, and acoustic engineering. Amenities include nearby convenient parking facilities for guests, a full service ticket office, an ATM and two full service concession stands located on the concourse level. Supporters of UC Irvine Athletics who contribute at a certain giving level can also enjoy pre-game hospitality in the Koll Room, located downstairs for the main entrance. Three main entrances to the Center encourage smooth ingress and egress, including a special entrance for the “Antourage”, a UCI student spirit organization that is notorious for their game day support. Another entrance on the arena level can be reserved for security or controlled access needs. Through the employment of retractable seating, as well as protective flooring covering, the Center can be easily converted to stage a variety of events including concerts, lectures, performing arts, and sporting events. The newest addition to the Bren Event Center is a four sided LED scoreboard comprised of four 10mm video walls capable of displaying 4.4 trillion colors in a HD 16:9 aspect ratio custom built by Ultra Signs and Multimedia LED.

Jessica Wellsa month agoWe attended the Irvine vs. Long Beach men’s volleyball tournament and overall had a great time. The biggest downside was the security process. It felt overly strict, and the atmosphere during entry made it seem like everyone was being treated as a potential threat rather than fans coming to enjoy a volleyball match. Not being allowed to bring in your own water was also frustrating. That said, once we got through the check-in process, the experience was fantastic. The stadium was very clean, organized, and comfortable, and the volleyball was really exciting to watch (great game). We had an absolute blast and really enjoyed the event. If the entry experience were a little more welcoming, it would easily be a five-star experience.
Aaron Bright3 months agoParking was surprisingly easy thanks to the students running the lot and directing traffic—they did a great job keeping everything organized and moving smoothly. That said, security felt a bit overzealous, which took away from the overall experience. The seating also needs some attention. I ended up trying two different seats, and both were broken—they leaned too far back to be comfortable. On the positive side, the sound system was solid and the facility itself is easy to navigate, which made getting around hassle-free. Just be aware that outside food and drinks aren’t allowed, and unfortunately the concession stand has very limited options, which was a bit disappointing
aceyorbaa year agoParking is a little challenging. The rock planters outside the event center is a potential liability with large crowds. Seats are very small and uncomfortable for a long event.

A Siewert7 years agoGood sized venue. We went for the UCI Basketball game. Parking garage is right next to the center, I think it was $10? Probably friends on the event. Maybe a 100 meter walk from the garage into the center. Give yourself time to get there, as it gets stacked with cars making the turn into campus. Parking staff were effective getting people in and out after the game. Standard bag check table and ticket check at the door, but the event staff were quick and pleasant. We'll be back for other events.
