Upon arriving at Tapatio Springs, we were greeted by Molly at the front desk. Molly was so kind and patient, answering all of our questions about the resort. When she discovered we were celebrating a birthday she arranged a nice surprise for us. She was so nice checking in and also when we checked out. Our room was large, updated and clean. Bed was very comfortable. We ate at the restaurant . The staff was friendly and nice! The menu could use some more items, …. the food we ordered was good! The golf course at the resort is absolutely beautiful! The greens are in great condition and the corse was fun! Again, everyone working in the clubhouse was very help and friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much , the resort has an amazing staff! We plan to go back!

We were underwhelmed with our experience at Tapatio Springs, especially given they label themselves as a resort. Their rooms are terribly outdated and some buildings desperately need a thorough remodel. The clubhouse is beautiful, and if the rest of the rooms could match, it would be a 5-star resort. We stayed in building 2 for a day, but left after finding a roach crawling from the vent directly over our bed. In building 2, our room smelled musty, had poor lighting, and the wallpaper was literally peeling off the walls. We found two old, dried contact lens on the bathroom floor from the previous occupants, and overall the room felt very much like it had barely been updated since the early 80s. After finding cockroach they moved us to a building that was newer, but still dated. The in-room amenities were also inconsistent with us having a microwave and mini-fridge in the first room to having a tiny countertop fridge, no microwave, and kitchen sink in the new room. Upon checkout, our key stopped working around noon, despite us paying for a late check out. Just a minor inconvenience, but another pain point as the small stuff continued to stack up. The staff at the resort is excellent. Everyone from reception to restaurant/bar staff and management and housekeeping was incredibly helpful and pleasant. The location is also stunning with beautiful views of the hill country and oak trees, but it’s a shame the hotel rooms falls short. Other amenities: The pool looked ok and more like an apartment pool than a resort-style pool. It’s heated which I’m sure is lovely in the winter and early spring, but sounded miserable in this 90-degree Texas weather. The restaurant was decent, but we heard conflicting times for meals (we were told breakfast was from 7a-11a, went down at 10:52a and were told it had ended, but staff and kitchen were kind to accommodate us. We were also told the breakfast buffet does not have set hours and seems to be set at random times). The staff at the restaurant is absolutely lovely and made our experience much more enjoyable. We didn’t golf, but all the golfers looked very pleased and the course itself looks beautiful. Overall, we would probably stay elsewhere nearby and enjoy the grounds for an afternoon. I would recommend the golf course and for a casual stay in the hill country, but if you’re looking for a resort experience, Tapatio isn’t it. Edit: forgot to mention the flies in the restaurant. Albeit the space is clean, you’ll be fighting with the flies while you eat if you sit outside or inside near the windows.

Tapatio’s new menu is absolutely fantastic! The chef-prepared dishes bring a fresh, elevated touch while still feeling welcoming and approachable. Whether you’re looking for a great business lunch or a family dinner, this is the place to be. The pretzel appetizer was incredible, and the grilled chicken salad was packed with flavor. The fresh, crispy fries were the perfect addition and clearly made with care. Every dish we tried was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The service was attentive, friendly, and made the entire experience even better. If you haven’t visited Tapatio before—or if it’s been a while since your last visit—you owe it to yourself to give it a try. Highly recommend!

We love Tapatio Springs. It has become one of our favorite places in the Hill Country to relax, enjoy the views, and spend time together as a family. The property has such a peaceful, welcoming feel, and every time we visit, we leave grateful for the experience. The staff is friendly, the resort is beautiful, and the overall atmosphere makes it easy to slow down and enjoy being there. Highly recommend Tapatio Springs for anyone looking for a great Hill Country getaway.

We are relatively new members of the club, yet we have already used the property no fewer than eight times over the past year to host friends and family. Every visit has been a wonderful experience. Our guests are consistently greeted by kind staff, attentive servers, and the genuine warmth, good humor, and small-town spirit that make this place so special. We are always proud to host a meal in the restaurant and share the club's amenities with visiting friends and family. It has been a joy to introduce others to this hidden gem and watch them discover everything it has to offer. We are truly grateful to be part of this community and look forward to creating many more memories here while welcoming future guests to experience it for themselves.
