Jyll Elsmana month agoStayed here for one night on a weekday. Received a warm welcome by the male working the front desk. Hotel is modern, and clean. Nice lounge area inside and a nice lounge area outside as well! Our room was clean and spacious. Bathroom was very clean! My daughter enjoyed the swimming pool. Great selection of snacks for purchase in the lobby. The breakfast provided in the morning was delicious! Lots of options to choose from! Kevin was very friendly and helpful during checkout! I will absolutely choose SpringHill Suites again for my hotel stay.
Brianna Leea month agoI booked a block of rooms for a youth soccer team. Jaimee in sales was very helpful. All of the families thoroughly enjoyed their stay. Moreover, there were numerous compliments to the staff. From the front desk to the housekeeping to the bartender to the staff preparing breakfast, everyone was very friendly and helpful throughout the weekend. The rooms were clean and spacious. The pool was clean also. Unfortunately the hot tub was broken but we were offered the option of using the one at the Courtyard next door. The outdoor space with the fire pits was wonderful and the lobby had plenty of room to gather. We will definitely keep this hotel in mind for the future!
William Lamb4 months agoStaff was very friendly and helpful. Pool and hot tub are awesome. The gym is very nice with new equipment, real dumbells from 5 to 45 lbs. and background music u can adjust the volume on. The rooms are super nice and very clean. This is a rather new Hotel and much nicer than many in this area. Really enjoyed my stay here. The free breakfast was very good with eggs, biscuit and gravy, waffle maker, and much more cold food and bagels and muffins.
Mathieu Storms5 months agoStayed here for 2 nights during the week. The positive: - Perfect location for where I needed to be. - Spacious and clean room with a comfortable bed. - Nice desk area to get some work done. - Good breakfast. The not so positive: - Ridiculously low water pressure in the shower. - The room had a little "sound machine". That didn't bode well. Even though I was on the top floor on the North side of the hotel (so not facing the Interstate), there was a really weird, loud and kind of overwhelming non-stop zooming/buzzing sound in the area around my room. It was extremely distracting, and didn't allow me to relax at night. I was only able to sleep thanks to my earplugs. I don't know if other floors have this issue, but I will probably consider a different hotel if I am ever back in Portage.
Tina Huelsenbeck5 months agoThis hotel is consistently clean, safe, and staffed by an excellent team. The rooms are always well maintained, and it’s incredibly convenient that so many food options will DoorDash right to your room. The complimentary breakfast each morning is a great bonus, and the small on-site bar is perfect if you want to relax with a drink. I’ve had very positive stays here.
