I recently had a very disappointing experience at this property while traveling for business with my dog. The hotel advertises itself as pet-friendly, which was a major factor in my booking. After leaving food out for my dog before heading to work, I returned a few hours later to find that it had not been touched. Upon closer inspection, the food bowl was covered with ants and other insects. I promptly notified management and tried to handle the situation discreetly. Maintenance arrived with a pump sprayer from Home Depot… and treated the room, but when I attempted to follow up with management, my concerns were met with indifference. I was told that in their “sold-out hotel,” I was the only guest reporting the issue, and it was implied that the insects may have been brought in by me or my pet. There was no apology, no reassurance, and no clear plan for preventing the issue from recurring—particularly concerning given that I would need to continue feeding my dog in the room. Ultimately, I had to relocate to another property at my own inconvenience to ensure a clean and safe environment. At checkout, I was refunded only the $20 pet cleaning fee, which felt like a minimal gesture given the circumstances. I understand that issues can arise at any hotel, but how they are handled matters. In this case, the lack of urgency, accountability, and customer care was unacceptable. I would strongly encourage management to take pest control and guest concerns more seriously. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend staying at this property.
Parking is not great. The front desk never answers the phone. Even though someone is there everytime I walk up in person. The rooms are spacious and clean but dated. I booked a 3 Star Hotel via Priceline's express deals and expect a 3 star hotel. It was the most 2-Starred 3 Star hotel I have ever been to. It would be a 5 Star review if I paid 2 Star prices for the room, but its not worth $120 plus $30 in taxes and fees for one night.

He made the process seamless, answered every question with patience, and made us feel like valued guests — not just another reservation. That level of respect and attentiveness goes a long way. The valet crew was just as impressive. Efficient, courteous, and on point the entire time. They handled everything quickly and professionally, always with a great attitude. Top-tier hospitality all around. We’ll absolutely be back.
The location is great, but the building had a lot of issues while we were there, including a non-working pool, which was the reason we booked this hotel. That said, the staff saved the day. Sarah at the front desk was awesome to work with and kept it nice and professional while she dealt with guests who wanted a pool and an over-run breakfast that the hotel was not staffed for.
Place is rundown. Carpet needs to be replaced. My room smelled like a dog was just there. Shower took a whooping 5 min to heat up. Gym equipment was poor quality/maintained and there was only one bench for the free weights. Probably room for three benches (and people were queued up). Good location. Breakfast was the standard.

Lambermont is a historic home that has been transformed into a unique event and wedding venue in San Antonio, Texas. Although many updates and renovations were needed from the original 1894 home, the current owners maintained the charm and detailed craftsmanship during a the transformation. Lambermont is a 4-story limestone historic home, the first floor layout includes a library, parlor, music room and dining room. We find that guests mingle and weave in and out of rooms in awe of the historic brilliance. As with any home, Lambermont also offers overnight guest rooms. The second floor hosts 3 bedrooms and 1 suite with a living area and wrap-around porch. Additionally, on the 1 acre property, just moments from downtown, we offer a Carriage House Suite, equipped with a full kitchen.
