  My parents were visiting from Colorado, so I brought them to the center to see the relics and enjoy some time in reflection. We are all disabled, I have a service dog. After parking, we were met at the door by the deacon. He told us that my parents were allowed to enter but I was not permitted to enter with my registered service dog. My parents were reluctant to enter, the deacons crass and rude behavior was distasteful. I pushed them to visit. Once inside my parents said that the deacons would not allow them to enjoy the center. He verbally pushed them from room to room, instructing them that they needed to pray in this spot. When my dad excused himself to use the restroom, the deacon followed him asking incessant questions about his travels. My father just wanted to use the restroom. My parents promptly exited the center, not wanting to return ever. I will be reporting them for not allowing me access with my certified service dog.

  Pilgrim Center of Hope has so much to offer! I was first introduced to this amazing ministry when I attended my first Catholic Women’s Conference. That was almost 9 years ago. Since then I have attended 7 conferences and look forward to attending every year. Thank you to the Pilgrim Center of Hope for your help in all you do to make them happen!

  Pilgrim Center of Hope offers a varied menu of spiritually enriching opportunities from learning about our role models in faith, the saints, to men’s, women’s and seniors’ conferences, pilgrimages to holy sites for those who enjoy traveling, podcasts, radio broadcasts, and, now, their permanent “Who is the Man of the Shroud” exhibition, a true journey of discovery. I encourage everyone to see for themselves what the hidden gem that is Pilgrim Center of Hope has to offer. You won’t regret it.

  Pilgrim Center of Hope has been a source of hope, encouragement, and inspiration for me. They’ve helped me walk through seasons of life and grow in relationship with the Blessed Trinity. It’s not simply a peaceful location with a chapel and beautiful outdoor areas to pray. I’ve enjoyed being at PCH for private and group prayer and adoration. I look forward to participating in more monthly masses in the chapel. The engaging small group and individual conversations about our faith stories and travels, saints, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the shroud of Turin have enriched my life. The atmosphere is welcoming and supportive. Whether it be at an off site conference or on site event, the staff seems to me to be blessed with graces to greet folks where ever we may be on journey. Even, during Covid lockdown-their media presence became a treasure for me. PCH gives witness to God’s grace and presence.

  The people at the Pilgrim Center Of Hope have been my prayer partners for many years. When I lived in San Antonio, My husband and I would drop in on them from time to time and attend their various activities. My husband and I went on four pilgrimages with them. Deacon Tom and Mary Jane stayed close to me when my husband died. Since moving to Virginia, they call me several times a year to see how I’m doing, and to offer prayers for me. A candle burns constantly in my husband’s memory at the Pilgrim Center of Hope.
