Caitlin Kujawa3 weeks agoThe Lumber Exchange was a dream venue to work with and we had our perfect wedding in the Fountain Room. Everyone we worked with was so kind, flexible, friendly, and helpful! We worked with Hannah throughout the planning and she made it so easy to work through all the details in a manageable way. She was so patient with all of our questions and tequila requests and really helped us plan our dream day. For our decor drop off/pick up and day of everything went SO smoothly. Echo and Shannon were so helpful throughout the day, working with our DoC and family/friends. Everyone raved about them and mentioned how helpful and nice they were. All of the servers, the chef, the bartender, and anyone else I’m forgetting were so kind to our guests. The venue is obviously gorgeous and that combined with the outstanding service led to the endless compliments we’ve received on the night and how wonderful it was.

He was very patient, knowledgeable and gave great input without trying to push us towards a service or change our vision of the wedding. Communication was quick, efficient and thorough throughout the planning process. The execution of the wedding was also flawless with amazing staff and quality service. Our guests had so many compliments on the food, venue and staff. The chef even came out towards the end of dinner to see how the food was and if we wanted more! I haven’t seen that at any weddings I’ve attended in the past. Prices are fair at lumber exchange given they are located within the city, but you have to pay for convenience and location. We had the most amazing time hosting our wedding at the Lumber Exchange. Don’t sleep on this place, it’s amazing!

It carries a timeless blend of historic character, modern design, and elegance that makes the space truly unforgettable. It creates the perfect backdrop for each couple to make the space their own. I recently had the opportunity to officiate a wedding and lead a rehearsal here, and the experience from start to finish was exceptional. Echo, the venue coordinator for this particular wedding, was fantastic to work with! The entire LX team created a seamless and well-coordinated environment throughout the weekend. The transition from ceremony to reception was handled flawlessly. As a wedding officiant, collaboration like this makes all the difference for both the couple and their guests. Katie Dodge7 months agoFrom the moment we began our journey with the Lumber Exchange, every staff member was flexible, friendly, helpful, and kind. Everyone we worked with truly wanted our day to be special. The food is incredible, and the chefs were so attentive to dietary needs—during our tasting they sat down with us, and the head chef even came out during the reception to make sure everything was perfect. The entire team puts their best foot forward. The value of the service, food, beverages, and overall experience is absolutely worth the cost, and compared to other venues, it’s not overpriced in my opinion. The Lumber Exchange offers several beautiful event spaces and is conveniently connected to a hotel, which made everything so easy for us and our guests. Our day was magical, and the Lumber Exchange team was truly wonderful. We look forward to hosting another event there someday and will always hold our wedding day close to our hearts!

For the two years leading up to our wedding date we worked with Hannah on the planning process, our favorite team member of the Lumber Exchange staff. She was patient and kind through our hundreds of questions and spent countless hours communicating with us over every tiny detail. On the day of the wedding, the in-house staff was incredibly kind and helpful. From our contact person who helped us get to all our photo-taking destinations within the building, to the staff turning over the room from ceremony to reception, and to all the kitchen/serving staff - everyone was efficient and kind. Our wedding day went off without a hitch, and we would highly recommend Lumber Exchange Event Center to ANYONE looking for a wedding venue in downtown Minneapolis.
