Growing up in Herriman, Utah, near Salt Lake City, Love was a rising gymnastics star. However, after battling injuries, she switched to track and field at Herriman High School. There, she won 16 individual titles and led the Mustangs to four consecutive state championships. Her athletic journey continued at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, where she excelled in track and was named to the 2021 Mountain West All-Conference Team. Her coach saw even more potential, encouraging her to try bobsledding. After a test session at the Utah Olympic Park in October 2020, Love was hooked. Just 16 months later, she was competing in the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. In 2023, Love’s hard work paid off when she won a World Championship bronze medal. She won her World Cup debut as a pilot in monobob at La Plagne, France. In 2025, Kaysha achieved even greater success, becoming the World Champion in monobob. Over her career, she has accumulated 13 World Cup medals and holds four start records. Notably, she has medaled in each of her last four monobob races, marking the longest active streak in the World Cup circuit. Today, Love has advanced from brakewoman to pilot, skillfully guiding sleds down the track at speeds of 80 mph. Her versatility and success in monobob and two-woman bobsled demonstrate her exceptional skill and adaptability in the sport. She is now one of the favorites heading into the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milan-Cortina as reigning world champion.
