  Based on my frequent stays at Homewood Suites by Hilton San Antonio Riverwalk/Downtown, I can confidently recommend this property if you want easy access to the Riverwalk without the crowds. It’s tucked along the quieter stretch of the San Antonio River, so you’re close enough to walk to the action but can still enjoy a good night’s sleep—unless it happens to be after a Spurs win! Breakfast is a highlight here: the complimentary spread has hot and cold options, and there’s a dining area overlooking the Riverwalk. My suites have always been clean and well‑appointed, with comfortable beds and a small kitchenette. I usually book the most reasonable priced room, so I can’t speak to Riverwalk‑facing rooms. There's the rooftop pool and lounge area which offer lovely views of the river at night, so ask at check‑in if there are Riverview rooms. Location is another plus. The hotel is an easy walk to Market Square, Mi Tierra Café and Bakery, and the central Riverwalk district. Because it’s on a one‑way street, the entrance can be tricky; it sits under the building on the first floor, and you have to be in the right lane to turn into the narrow driveway for valet drop‑off. I usually skip valet and park in the garage across the street; it’s more economical and just a short walk back. Overall, this property offers good value for its prime location. The suites provide plenty of space, the complimentary breakfast is a perk, and the quieter setting is perfect for a restful stay. I haven’t used the pool or fitness room. If you’re looking for a reasonably priced base near the Riverwalk with easy access to downtown sights and local favorites, Homewood Suites is a solid choice.

  Stayed here from May 16-20. Came in for a graduation ceremony. Pros: - Good location. Right downtown on the river walk. Easily accessible to everything downtown and walkable to Alamo. - Free breakfast buffet; which is decent. Cons: - $60 parking in house per day. - Hotel was fairly dirty. Room looked like it could really use a deep clean. Elevators filthy. - Coffee maker supplied - but no coffee pods. - Full kitchen supplied - no way to wash dishes (no scrub pad or dish soap). - Charge $50 for 30 mins past checkout and $100 for an hour past. Bang honestly not worth buck at this place. If you can afford to stay elsewhere, would advise!

  We stayed at Homewood Suites by Hilton San Antonio-Riverwalk/Downtown during our visit to San Antonio and found it to be a very convenient place to stay. The location right on the River Walk makes it easy to explore the historic center on foot, with restaurants and major sights just steps away. The suite layout offers plenty of space, which is ideal if you’re staying a few nights or traveling as a couple or family. Everything felt clean and well maintained, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed despite being in such a central area. A practical and comfortable base for discovering San Antonio and enjoying the River Walk.

  What a wonderful stay at the Homewood Suites Riverwalk in San Antonio. The hotel staff (especially Sonia) was most helpful with a smile everyday and great attitude. Very helps with our needs. The room was great to spread out during our stay. We used the laundry a few times however the exercise room was skipped as the weather was great for outside walking. Morning breakfast was hearty and lots of choices.

  It was a nice clean hotel. It's a great location for accessing the Riverwalk and the saga chapel and other aspects in the area. We parked our car when we got there and never took it back out until we left because the location was so nice. Parking was an extra fee. I did like the aspect of the mini kitchen. Has a large area downstairs overlooking the Riverwalk with tables and gathering areas for families along with the location of the breakfast that's offered.
