Mary Biancalanaa month agoThe Henry B Gonzalez convention center is an enormous yet well kept convention center here in the heart of San Antonio. There are multiple areas to go to eat offering grab-and-go convenience like pre-made sandwiches and pre-made salads. This convention center has access to the riverboat system and there are also shuttle buses that can be available to use. We agree with everyone else that the cell phone service was very bad in the lower levels, but the convenience of location was worth it. We also appreciate that they have very robust air conditioning available in all of the convention areas.
Hikmat Khan4 months agoI recently attended USCAP at the Henry B. González Convention Center and had a great experience. The venue is spacious, well-organized, and handled the large crowds efficiently. Everything from registration to session rooms was easy to navigate, and the staff were helpful throughout. Its location near the River Walk is a big plus, with plenty of dining options nearby. Overall, a very well-run event in a great convention space.

It’s a fantastic convention centre with plenty of room for meetings, a clean and modern feel and a great spot near the River Walk. The staff were friendly and organised, which really helped everything run smoothly. It’s definitely a fantastic venue for conferences.
Michelle Ramos-Martinez3 weeks agoThis place is huge and can easily accommodate any conference needs. I was here for the 2926 Title III Symposium and tgere were at least 2 other additional conferences going on at the same time. Staff were friendly a n d attentive and the accommodations were great!
The Story Plate2 months agoBig venue, big crowds, big anime energy… and apparently tiny little AC efforts. We went to the Henry B. González Convention Center in San Antonio for Anime at the River Walk, and this place is HUGE. Like, “wear cute shoes at your own risk” huge. The building itself is really nice, clean, and impressive, and you can’t beat the location being right by the River Walk. The bathrooms were clean, which is honestly a five-star miracle at a busy event, and the concessions looked pretty solid too. The anime crowd brought all the color, costumes, and fun people-watching you could ask for. Now the actual convention area was a bit warm, like the AC clocked in but was working from home. And some of the staff looked like they were one more question away from entering their villain origin story. Overall, it’s a great spot for big events, super spacious and convenient. Just bring comfy shoes, a good attitude, and maybe a fan if the AC decides to cosplay as a rumor.
