Crowne Plaza Cleveland at Playhouse Square recently undergone a renovation of over $6 million dollars in renovations. Renovation included all Worklife guest rooms, corridors, public space, swimming pool, whirlpool, sauna and our Ghost Light Restaurant and Lounge. Complimentary Internet access throughout the hotel. Our ballroom offers over 5,000 square feet of unobstructed space that can easily accommodate 300 attendees banquet style. Dracodawn starsa month agoThis hotel is perfect for the Playhouse Square downtown Cleveland experience. Its conveniently located where you can do all the fun, exciting, and easy to get to things that you wish to do. Also there are so many restaurants, places to eat, and stores up and down the street. So walking to these places is easy and convenient. The valet parking at the hotel was wroth it and easily accommodating for me. The hotel employees were extremely friendly helpful, and professional. And the rooms were absolutely comfortable and so very relaxing. And very clean too. I had the best stay at this hotel and will definitely stay here again.
Pat Lumpkin6 months agoThe front desk service checking in was wonderful the parking prices was ridiculous so parking in the garage is better but walking back to the hotel in the cold not preferred. The hotel has No microwave oven so you can’t warm up anything brought into the hotel room fortunately, we had a good working refrigerator to store our food which we had to eat cold because there’s no microwave so we ordered room service for breakfast and it was cold and no way to warm it up. Didn’t receive any utensils or napkins or sweeteners their excuse was Short staffed and that’s OK but not our problem, we shouldn’t receive subpar service’s just because they’re short staffed, they should be prepared for their guests. Being a 3 1/2 star hotel. The room itself was clean, but the television had a blue tint to it that I couldn’t fix in the room stayed cold the entire time we were there we couldn’t get it to warm up except that night when we were sleeping and it was too warm. The people in the room next to us had children running in the hallways all night and early morning, making noise on top of that. There were some kind of construction going on in the hotel, and it was very loud. The hotel itself is a nice looking hotel but for the prices they want the service isn’t there. We were thinking about booking again at this hotel, but decided not to stay here ever again because of the noise in the food. Plus, the handicap accommodations are poor. The toilet is way too low and the tub is too high to step in the best part about our stay was the fact that we enjoyed each other’s company and the front desk service checking in was very professional..
Stacey Bergstressera month agoThis place was amazing. Staff were very friendly the rooms super clean bed was absolutely the most comfortable bed that we had in awhile from hotels. We normally stay at holiday inn express but we haven’t been to thrilled with them lately so we tried a crowne plaza. Will definitely book these more when available in the area we are traveling. The ONLY thing is they don’t offer the free continental breakfast and the rooms DO NOT have a microwave. We stayed for a guardians game and everything was within walking distance from hotel.
Rich Raphael4 months agoThe staff here is excellent and they address the concerns of their guests promptly. Rooms are very clean. Great location in the heart of Downtown Cleveland. The hotel's restaurant, Brel's, is good for breakfast or an evening drink . Probably best to do dinner someplace else as the dinner menu is very overpriced for the generic quality of food they serve.
Allie7 months agoI emailed the front desk at the email provided after my stay to give them an opportunity to make things right, or to even offer an apology...but I never received any follow up besides an automated email followed by a survey - which I sure filled out. I am writing to provide feedback regarding my recent stay at your hotel on the night of November 18th, 2025. I chose your hotel specifically because of the advertised hot tub amenity and was looking forward to using it; unfortunately, my experience did not meet my expectations for the price paid. The primary issue was with the hot tub itself. The water temperature was only lukewarm, the water level was significantly low, and the jets did not function properly even after using the timer control. The experience was underwhelming and a significant point of disappointment. Additionally, while the room was generally clean, there were some maintenance issues that detracted from the stay. I noted visible water stains on the ceiling and some remaining rose petals on the floor from a previous guest. The water pressure of the shower fluctuated while in use, some points down to a trickle. Although I will say that I think the shower was hotter the the "hot tub". The in-room entertainment system was also problematic. I had intended to connect a personal device via the HDMI port, but found this was impossible due to a persistent on-screen menu that could not be dismissed. Furthermore, adjusting volume required using the hotel's TV box, limiting functionality when using an external device. Overall, I expected a higher standard of service and amenity functionality for the price I paid, and I left feeling extremely disappointed. I am sharing this feedback in the hope that you can address these issues for future guests.
