Hannah Sievers8 months agoMy husband and I would absolutely recommend Cellar 222 to anyone looking for a wedding venue. Cellar 222 was the first and only venue we toured. We immediately felt at home in the space that had the perfect amount of charm including the use of real candles and base decor that we minimally supplemented for our event. Also, Steve was beyond welcoming and supportive throughout the entire process. We could not be more thankful that we were able to utilize such a great space to celebrate our love and life together!
Courtney Hart6 months agoI cannot recommend this venue enough. The space is versatile, functional, unique, and absolutely gorgeous. It doesn’t require a lot of extra decor. It truly speaks for itself. Also, Steve is AMAZING to work with. He is kind, prompt, professional, and extremely helpful. He worked alongside us to make our day everything we envisioned. If you're looking for an affordable, beautiful, stress-free venue in KC, look no further.

Hannah Thompson2 years agoCellar 222 was the BEST venue for our wedding! We held the ceremony and reception there and it was beautiful. As the bride, it was such a fun moment to walk down the stairs into our crowd of guests and towards my groom. Being married in front of a fireplace was gorgeous. The venue have two floors made for super easy day-of-flow. Guests were able to see the ceremony, then head upstairs for cocktail hour, and then back downstairs for dinner. We comfortably had 95 guests and the space felt intimate and cozy. Steve was incredible to work with. He was always easy to get ahold of during the planning process. He was upfront with all of the services he offered and there were no hidden fees. Cellar 222 was truly the best place we could have gotten married!! I highly recommend you book it for your day.
Reid and Mariko Erdwiena year agoFirst of all, Steve’s (the owner) responses to our many questions were lightning fast and very helpful! He welcomed multiple visits to check out the venue to figure out decorations and logistics, gave us a lot of helpful advice and assisted us in finding vendors when we were having trouble. Wedding planning can be very stressful but due to his communication and attitude it felt very reassuring throughout the whole process. He was just very easygoing and a delight to work with! In terms of the venue itself, we loved that there were many comfortable sitting areas throughout the venue so people can sit during the wedding. The venue has a industrial yet classic aesthetic featuring touches of signature Kansas City brick and stone. There’s a lot of charming decor to it already so you don’t have to worry too much about the decoration since it’s not a blank box like some venues. It felt very cozy and it was perfect for our intimate wedding of around 40 people but the venue seems flexible to accommodate more or less people as well. Overall, we're very glad that we chose Cellar 222 as our wedding venue and would highly recommend it!
