I travel frequently for work and, after 20 years on the road, this was easily one of the most frustrating and disappointing hotel stays I've had. I booked this hotel in part because not one but two pages of the hotel's own website prominently feature photos of a sauna and pool intermingled with room and amenities imagery. Upon arrival, I learned that access to the sauna and pool is actually an additional $40/day. That felt extremely misleading. I emailed management simply to explain that this was a major letdown and suggested that the website be clarified so future guests aren't confused. The response I received from the GM, Chelsea, was surprisingly cold and patronizing, explaining to me, as though I were a child, that the hotel website also shows meeting rooms, which obviously are not included in a room reservation. I've traveled professionally for two decades. I do not need it explained that meeting rooms aren't included in a room rate. But when pools and saunas are visually presented alongside room imagery and amenities, it's entirely reasonable to assume they're included. No apology, no acknowledgment of the confusion, and no willingness to even consider adjusting the messaging. Also: avoid atrium-facing rooms. My room looked directly into a fluorescently lit interior hallway 24/7. Especially on lower floors, you completely lose any sense of time of day. I asked to switch rooms and was told by the front desk that I could do so the following morning and that a note would be placed on the reservation to hold the room. I packed everything up, came downstairs at 7am for the move, and was then told the room had been given away and I'd need to re-check into my existing room. Again: little accountability, barely an apology, and "nothing we can do." The restaurant never answered its phone, making pickup ordering impossible. When I did eat there, the food was aggressively average, understaffed, and as forgettable as the hotel itself. The Midwest is supposed to be known for hospitality, but every interaction here felt cold, dismissive, and phoned in. And finally: the air conditioning is unbelievably loud. Good luck sleeping. Without question, the worst Hilton stay I've had. Avoid.

My stay at Canopy was fabulous. Jeremy at the front desk was very helpful and polite when getting me checked in and with any questions or concerns I had. I was comped a room upgrade to a suite and it was so nice and spacious . I loved how everything was sectioned off. When I went to dinner downstairs our waitress Kim was so patient, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Throughout my stay I made may way to the bar, the bartender Dajhir was ABSOLUTELY amazing👏🏾 Every cocktail taste delicious and was carefully curated not to mention he made great conversation. Highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting Minneapolis.

Hotel was great. Rooms were very comfortable and felt well designed. Well executed rustic modern aesthetic. Instead of water bottles in the room, they leave a bottle you can refill at a refill station on your floor which is nice and meant I didn't have to buy a pack of water bottles. The breakfast offering was good. Nothing to complain about, but for the type of hotel it was, I was hoping for an outstanding espresso. I had the eggs Benedict with potatoes. Delicious. Potatoes were basic breakfast potatoes which was a let down, but nothing to scoff at. I had a latte which again was ok, but I was hoping for a bit more. Overall, I would stay here again. The rooms and asthetic were by far the outstanding features of the hotel.

I had a generally great stay at this hotel during a work trip. The rooms are unique and comfortable, and the staff are very friendly. Another coworker and I both had noise issues interrupting our sleep, so I would be aware that the walls are pretty thin. This happened to us while staying in different floors. Overall a nice spot!

This is going to be my new go-to hotel in Minneapolis. The room had a great view, was very clean, it was quiet, the bed was very comfortable. I have not slept so well in a hotel room in a long time. Apotheke soap was a nice touch.
