The Kansas City Municipal Auditorium is a stunning Art Deco gem that truly elevates any event with its historic charm and grand atmosphere. From the moment you walk in, the vintage architecture and impressive scale create a sense of occasion that modern arenas often lack. The staff is exceptionally welcoming, and the seating provides fantastic sightlines that make every performance feel intimate. While the overall experience was top-tier, the restrooms could definitely use a bit more frequent attention and cleaning to match the high standards of the rest of the venue. Despite that minor blemish, it remains a must-visit landmark for anyone looking to enjoy Kansas City’s vibrant culture in a beautiful, classic setting.

I really like this arena. There’s not a bad seat in the house. Concrete building with old theater decorations and markings. Seating areas flow counter clockwise starting from the north side 101/201, west 110/210, south 119/219, east 128/228 before finishing back north at 136/236. First, second floors are aptly named by their hundreds beginning. The ramp does take you to the top (like a faux third floor), but it is the top of the 2nd floor section. This build does link into the underground tunnel system that goes to the convention center and various hotels. The south side entrance wasn’t open for the event I was attending, but on the north side (or the side that opens to the underground parking and park area above ground) to utilize the underground tunnels there are stairs to your left or east side of the entry way that will take you down below. After walking down the stairs you’ll take a u-turn and proceed to the doors. From there, there are plenty of signs to guide. To sum up, I love this old building. Great for events!

Graduation Ceremony. Only gave 3 stars because the sound system was so awful we could not understand what the speakers were saying. It was echoing and garbled. Those watching the live stream had a better experience than we did.

We visited here to watch Tuba Christmas perform & set the Guinness Book world record. The need better signs directing you to the parking garage for the auditorium. We parked & walked a ways. The actual auditorium is older & smells like an older building. Plenty of seating for the event.
