  Place De Orleans is a sprawling mall that is easily accessible by a number of bus routes. The O LRT is also almost ready. This mall has very good air-conditioned seating facilities with plenty of free space even on crowded days. The Sport Check Store on the 2nd floor has a fantastic range of sporting goods, apparel, shoes, eye wear etc. The shoes section is the highlight of the store and one must shop here if shoes is their passion. The food courts serve a mind boggling variety of culinary treats that are a foodies delight, be it a quick meal or a dessert. Well deserved 5 stars.

  So basically, my sister and I were at Place d’Orléans Mall waiting for our dad on the top floor. We sat on the floor near the church area because it was more comfortable, and we had taken our shoes off while we were sitting there. A security guard came over and told us to put our shoes back on and sit in the chairs instead. We immediately listened, said okay, and were respectful the whole time. A little later, my sister was laying down across one of the chairs while we were still waiting. The same security guard came back and told her she wasn’t allowed to lay down. Again, we apologized and said we didn’t know that wasn’t allowed, and she sat back up right away. About five minutes later, the security guard came back again and said this was our “second warning” and that if we didn’t start listening, we would be kicked out. The problem was that we genuinely didn’t know these were rules, and every time he spoke to us, we listened right away and stayed respectful. After that, the security guard started giving us attitude, and eventually we got frustrated and gave attitude back. He then told us we were being kicked out of the mall, so we started leaving right away. While we were leaving, I flipped him off because I was upset and frustrated in the moment. Before we were even fully outside the property, a supervisor stopped us and started talking to us aggressively. Instead of trying to calm the situation down or listen to our side, he told us that because we were being “rude,” he could treat us however he wanted and would “do what he wants” to us. He also threatened to place us under arrest, even though we were already leaving and had simply been waiting for our dad the entire time. We also had our 10-year-old sister with us during the whole situation. After that, they told us we were banned from the mall for three months.

  Nice, clean and spacious. Variety of stores. One of my favourites is AUB44 where you can find clothing for the whole family, they also have a home decore section. Some empty spaces waiting to be leased. Ample parking, access to OC transpo.

  I’ve been to Place d’Orléans many times over the years, and it’s always been a good experience. It’s one of the major malls in the east end, easy to get to, with a familiar layout and a solid mix of stores that make quick visits simple. There’s something steady and reliable about this mall — nothing flashy, just a comfortable place to shop, browse, or take care of errands. Every visit has been smooth, and it’s a spot I’ve returned to often without thinking twice. A dependable east‑end shopping centre with consistently good experiences.
