Holtz Spa is a great place if you’re looking to truly relax and unwind. The decor is beautiful, calming, and thoughtfully designed, which immediately sets the tone when you walk in. The location itself is large and spacious, the washrooms are clean, and the overall atmosphere feels peaceful. The massage therapists are excellent, professional, and skilled, and the couples massage experience is especially lovely and well done. The only downside is the front desk experience. While everything behind the scenes runs smoothly, the staff at reception can come across as slow, unwelcoming, and a bit rushed. I’ve noticed this on multiple visits with different staff members, so it feels more like a consistency issue rather than a one-off. A warmer and more attentive front desk experience would really elevate an otherwise great spa.
Great experience! Shout out to Avi, Tika and Twinkle, who were fantastic. Excellent at what they do, and super kind. I never treat myself to the spa - this was a gift from a friend. Most pampered day ever - and my skin felt amazing when I left.
I was gifted a spa day at Holtz a few years ago for my birthday and I have never returned. I felt like I was an inconvenience and they couldn't wait for me to leave, the only part that was enjoyable was the massage. They were supposed do my makeup as I was going out that night for my birthday and sadly I ended up redoing my makeup in the cab on my way to dinner, hence I have not been back, it ruined my birthday and sadly my spouse was extremely disappointed that I was not happy with his birthday gift. I absolutely do not recommend Holtz spa. I was expecting a day where I was spoiled and pampered only to get totally disappointed and angry.
Spent the whole day at the spa, and overall, my first experience was great. The staff were very polite, constantly checking in to see if I needed anything. The massage therapist, hairstylist, nail technician, and esthetician were all lovely people—it was a pleasure interacting with them☺️ I was completely satisfied with everything except the manicure, specifically the polish application. I didn’t notice at first, but once I got home, I saw that the polish wasn’t applied very well. For the price, I think it would be better to offer gel polish instead, as regular polish chips quickly and doesn’t last. Overall, I had a positive experience, but the manicure was a bit disappointing.
We had the most incredible experience at Holtz Spa in Ottawa before racing HYROX women’s this weekend, and I genuinely cannot recommend this place enough. As athletes going into such an intense fitness race, we knew our bodies needed recovery, relaxation, and proper care before putting ourselves through hours of running, sled pushes, lunges, rowing, and all the chaos HYROX brings. Booking a pre-race massage ended up being one of the best decisions we made all weekend. Not only did it help loosen tight muscles and release tension from training, but it also helped calm our nervous systems, reduce stress before race day, improve circulation, and leave us feeling physically and mentally prepared to perform our best. We both kept saying after the race how GOOD our bodies felt compared to previous events, and we truly believe our massages played such a huge role in that. The spa itself is absolutely stunning. From the second you walk in, everything feels so peaceful. We were honestly shocked by how many different treatments and services they offer there.. it’s so much more than just massages. You can tell Holtz Spa truly focuses on wellness, recovery, self-care, and creating an unforgettable experience for every guest who walks through the doors. A huge thank you to Phoenix, the manager, who helped organize the most perfect bestie spa day for us before our race. From the beginning, she was incredibly kind, communicative, thoughtful, and accommodating. She made the whole process feel seamless and exciting, and truly helped create such a special experience for us. In person, she was just as sweet. SO sweet and genuine. You can tell she genuinely cares about creating meaningful experiences for guests, and we felt so taken care of because of her attention to detail and kindness throughout the entire day. Amanda at the front desk was also absolutely amazing. She made check-in and check-out so smooth and effortless, which is such a nice feeling when you’re trying to relax before a big race weekend. She continuously checked in on us throughout our visit to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves, and she gave us a beautiful tour of the spa so we could fully experience everything Holtz has to offer. She was incredibly friendly, professional, and welcoming from start to finish. The special little gifts at the end were also such a thoughtful touch and made the experience feel even more personal and memorable. And now for the massages themselves — truly unbelievable. Sarah did my full-body pre-race massage and I honestly cannot stop talking about how amazing it was. She immediately made me feel comfortable and relaxed, and she was so knowledgeable about tension areas, muscle tightness, and exactly what my body needed before competing. Her pressure was absolutely perfect, and she somehow managed to make me feel deeply relaxed while also helping my body feel loose, mobile, and ready to perform. I walked out feeling lighter, calmer, and genuinely physically prepared for race day. She has such a calming presence and incredible technique.. legit the best massage I’ve ever had. My best friend had her massage with Olena at the same time, and she said it was equally incredible. Olena has amazingly strong hands and was fantastic at targeting areas of tightness from training while still creating such a relaxing experience. She made her feel completely comfortable and taken care of, and the massage left her feeling refreshed, recovered, and race-ready. We both kept talking afterward about how skilled and intuitive both therapists were. Overall, our experience at Holtz Spa exceeded every expectation we had. It was the perfect combination of luxury, relaxation, recovery, and kindness before such a physically demanding event. If you are doing an upcoming race or honestly just looking to treat yourself, recover properly, or have the perfect spa day… this is THE place to go. We are already talking about coming back. Thank you to the entire Holtz Spa team for making us feel so special and so cared for 🤍!!
