Marie-Eve Giguère4 months agoI recently attended the Master the Basics: Stocks and Sauces class at C’est Bon Ottawa, and it was a wonderful experience. The three-hour hands-on class focused on fundamental cooking techniques, with Chef Georges demonstrating stocks while participants prepared sauces to pair with different proteins. • During the class, we made two sauces: a Madeira pot sauce and a cognac red wine pan sauce served with elk. Both were delicious, but the Madeira sauce stood out as absolutely exceptional. • The class was small and intimate, with just eight participants, creating a welcoming environment full of energy, curiosity, and hands-on learning. • Chef Georges is incredibly knowledgeable and brings a warm, approachable teaching style, effortlessly adapting to different skill levels and encouraging questions throughout. • Even for those with a solid cooking foundation, there are many valuable techniques, nuances, and tips to take away. • The kitchen is cozy, well-organized, and the class format allows plenty of interaction and practical experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to deepen their understanding of stocks and sauces in a fun, engaging setting.
Steve Humphries3 months agoWife and I did the pairs cooking class here and it was awesome. Seriously can’t recommend it enough. Chef Arnold was great, the other pairs were fun, the food was incredible and we generally learned so much about cooking.

The food was delicious, the chef was terrific, and everything was really easy to follow. Very well organized, lots of cool info and cooking tips, and the BYO wine option didn’t hurt. Highly recommend, thank you for the perfect evening!!
Micheal Reimer4 months agoGeorge is amazing. I think if I knew him as a younger man I would've ended up a chef. He's so kind and passionate and challenges you while making you feel like you can do anything. Very excited to take more classes and it's an absolute value for money. If you are looking for a cooking class or a gift for someone that does, look no further The pictures reflect my lack of skill not his expertise - they taste way better than they look
Gerald James9 months agoGreat experience. Chef Arnold was fun and engaging. We did the Couples Cooking class and we’ll definitely be doing another one. It didn’t matter what our cooking experience was, we were able to follow along and had great direction. Highly recommend!
