  Iris Aom and staff were as amazing as the hot dog! How awesome can it be if it’s a hot dog? Go and try it!!!! Sweet Japanese milk buns and gourmet toppings - first class and better cost and food than what you’d get on the river walk! Does not disappoint!!!!

  Perfect dogs! Amazing place to get a dog! I've been to all places that serve dogs (NYC, MN and Chicago!) and this place is criminally underrated! Amazing dogs that need to be known!!!

  Disappointing meal. Craving a great hotdog pictures online made them look delicious, but it was a real letdown. There’s no way you can pick these up and eat them like a hotdog. You need to use a fork and a knife. They only provide cheap disposable wooden cutlery, and although the toppings are plentiful, the hotdog was not. You could not taste the dog through all the toppings. The bun was a soggy mess, and the hotdog was more like a pepperette, and very difficult to cut through. You get more bites of soggy bread and toppings then you do hotdog. The seating here seriously needs to be re-thought. their barstools are on springs so they sink when you sit and I’m 5 foot eight and My feet didn’t even touch the ground. There’s no foot rest attached to the stool or on the tables so my legs just dangled making it awkward.

  Update Edit: Since a group of yuppies literally just came in, jaws open, saying “This has a 4.9, it must be a speakeasy!”… No! It’s a dive bar with fancy hot dogs. You go here for a comfy, accessible vibe downtown. That’s why I have it at 5 stars… for what it is. Like, you can see the whole setup from the street, they’re not pulling the wool over anyone’s eyes, it’s just a nice place to stop in and grab a drink or two. Main review: David, Banks, and Chrissy constantly go a long way to making this out-of-towner feel welcome. Count me as blessed to stop in for a drink and a dog whenever I get the chance… which is about once a week now! The Big City Nights is my rec on the glizzy front.

  5/5 on all aspects! I work downtown and pass by Big Aztec Corner Bar everyday. It's a great little bar that has incredible gourmet hot dogs. Super interesting concept, BUT for a downtown commuter like myself - it's perfect. Especially when I need a quick lunch bite between commutes or meetings. Staff is super friendly. Ambiance is quaint. Prices are respectable. As a downtown worker, I've noticed too many "bigger" places that aren't as "quick" as you need it to be during the day or a quick lunch adds up to $30 easy. Corner Bar certainly fixes that problem for me. Cheers and enjoy.
