Avid Hotel is a good option if you’re looking for something clean, simple, and reasonably priced. The lobby has a nice pop of color with plenty of seating, which gives it a fresh, welcoming feel. It sits right among a cluster of other hotel chains (like Clarion and a few others), so you’ve got plenty of options in the area, but this one definitely holds its own. Inside, everything feels neat and well-kept. The rooms are good—nothing fancy, but comfortable and functional. Same goes for the workout room: it’s decent, enough to get a workout in, but not anything extensive. The overall vibe is actually kind of European—minimalist, practical, and straightforward. Breakfast is where it falls a little short. It’s all grab-and-go, with sandwiches (mostly sausage-based), small muffins, and other quick bites. Fine if you just need something to tide you over, but don’t expect a full breakfast spread. All in all, it’s exactly what it promises to be: a decent hotel at a decent price. Nothing over the top, but clean, modern, and a good choice if you’re passing through or need a no-fuss stay.
Right off the highway, so the location is very convenient. The beds were super comfortable, and the rooms were clean. Since it’s a newer property, I was surprised there are a few areas around the hotel that could use TLC. Overall, it was a solid stay. Also, be sure to check out Sweetwater’s Donut Mill just down the road, they’re amazing! Also, what a strange view to wake up to…
We were having a medical procedure at the local hospital and chose to stay at Avid because it was close. I'm so glad we did! The rooms are quiet and clean, the beds are comfortable and cozy, the staff is friendly and helpful. We have stayed 3 different times and will gladly stay again.
Jayamati Nath checked me in and she’s fabulous! She’s professional, welcoming, and kind. If you have a problem, she’s there to fix it. The rooms are very minimalist and small. There’s no such thing as wasted space in there lol. I love that there’s always free hot water and coffee downstairs. The breakfast was pretty good. There’s a side entrance that has guests walk through their patio area and with snow on that type of flooring makes it slippery. I can see how someone slipped on your property. Salt needs to be thrown down and maybe even rugs. The other front desk agent, who works in the afternoons, is definitely there for a paycheck only. I hardly saw him at the desk as he was always in the back office, even when I called the front desk he didn’t answer so I walked down there and rung the bell. When he talked with guests (not just me), he had his corded ear phones in one ear. I had an issue with the heater blowing out cold air while set on heat in my room. He called maintenance and they took longer than expected so when I went downstairs asking for an ETA he said, “I don’t know. Do you just want another room?” He seemed annoyed, was unapologetic, and had no care for my issue. Mind you, I stayed here when there was a windchill advisory and it was -20 degrees outside. Every morning The continental breakfast didn't have orange juice or apple juice. It was hit or miss and watered down the first three days. There were jimmy dean's overcooked hard as a rock bagel sandwiches. There's no laundry facilities, no pool. The doors on the sides didn't work for easy.Access, this is a terrible place. This really is a 1 star hotel, the only good thing about the place is that they were next to arby's and denny's.The chromecast on the back of the t v didn't work their wi.Fi didn't allow me to connect any of my devices.Just a terrible trip all around. For a cherry on top, my coworker had his medication stolen by one of the cleaning staff.
