Jim Peterson2 months agoFor being the first event of the weekend, it was filthy, floors were sticky. You could see spilled stuff on the floor. The bathrooms were relatively clean. They sold food but there were few tables and chairs to eat. The playing area was great.
Jenny Irelan2 months agoIt was a very frustrating experience. We had a cheer competition in this venue. We were charged for parking, and it was extremely hot both Saturday and Sunday. No food or drink was allowed from the outside, but the lines were so long because there were so many people there. A few got sick because of the conditions. Honestly, it made for a miserable weekend. Something has to give. Especially Sunday when some of the places were closed.
Samuel Cloud2 months agoOne of the better venues I've been to for club volleyball. The true arena style helps manage the sound. Decent seats though not on the court. Overall, I think this is better than most of the other venues for the Asics show me qualifier
Lara Muse5 months agoMostly clean. Much more comfortable than bleachers seating for high-school basketball games! Every single venue needs to know that it should be easier to find an elevator when entering from handicapped ♿️ parking. Don't HIDE the elevators.
Rheanne Griswold4 months agoThe Hyvee Arena is a great venue for youth basketball tournaments among other events. My youth team played their last weekend and were in awe as they drove up to the arena! My only negative is that it isn't in a great part of town however, we stayed at the Hilton on the Plaza and made the 10 minute drive. Overall, a cool place we will return too. Also, I watched the Kansas City Comets play there as well as watched the Big 8 tournament back in the day when it was Kemper arena... The renovations they did to add the second level is an architectural phenomenon to me!
