Peter Schinkai2 months agoMy wife suggested that I go to Gazelle Sports after she had a great experience and I was having on-going shoe issues. Without a doubt, this was the best shoe buying experience that I've ever had. It literally changed my life. I met with Amy and explained that I was there because I had some new Adidas shoes that were killing my feet. I've always known that I had a wider foot, but always struggled to find good shoes. She scanned my foot with what I can only describe as Star Trek technology, brought out every single pair of shoes in my size, spoke about the pros and cons of each, and helped me try them on. I ended up buying a pair of Hokas that are easily the most comfortable shoes that I've worn in my entire life. I feel so much better walking than I ever did before. This is all from the very personable staff and amazing technology at Gazelle Sports. Seriously, I cannot thank you enough. I will be back for every pair of shoes in the future and will tell everyone to also go to your store.
Stephen Rainey3 months agoBig difference between places that sell shoes and an actual shoe store! The service was incredible, the woman that helped us knew shoes, and knew the products they carried! We were there last minute as they were about to close... and yet they were TOTALLY accommodating!!! I highly recommend Gazelle Sports! We will definitely return!!!
Abe7 years agoGreat running store with good selection, friendly and helpful staff. They can get you in s shoe that is right for your foot/running/walking style! Clean store and nice layout. Four stars because you can get almost everything cheaper online, but why not support a local store that supports the local running community and community at large. Urban Herd running group on Wednesday is highly recommended!
topedaddya year agoThis store has been a staple of downtown Kalamazoo for many years now. I've gone there many times for a variety of shoes. From track shoes in high school, something casual for a vacation or getting some new Asics for a marathon, this store has it all. They take a lot of time to fit you with what you're looking for, the staff is very knowledgeable and is always so helpful. I always look forward to going there and can't wait for the next time.
Shasta H-I7 years agoWe stopped in for shoes that would work with new orthotic braces. We were immediately directed to Kathleen VDB, who was absolutely amazing! In addition to being kind and welcoming, Kathleen was EXTREMELY knowledgeable and helpful. I honestly wouldn’t have expected that level of expertise unless I was shopping in a specialty/orthotic shoe store. She took the time to explain the benefits of available stock, as well as the benefits of shopping for a properly fitted and quality of shoe. She made me feel confident and comfortable that I made the absolute best choice for my feet. For quality and confidence in your purchase, I would definitely recommend shopping at Gazelle! Parking can be tricky -if you park in the ramp off South Street, they will validate!
