  The room I had selected was switched by the staff before my arrival and had to return to the front desk to request a room with 2 beds as originally requested. What I then found was a dirty room with trash on the floor, dirty windows on the inside, mirrors that were not clean, and sinks and showers that wouldn't drain. The front desk staff was nice enough and the free breakfast was decent. The location was fine with easy access to the highway.

  Place has been updated and the rooms feel like they were good value for the price paid. The front desk was pretty nice and welcoming when we got there, there is ice water, some cookies, and multiple types of coffee in the lobby to choose from. Only thing I found a little odd was that the wall mounted night stands next to the king bed had no power outlets so there was not anything to plug a phone in and leave it by the bedside. Bring a long cord and plug in to a wall outlet nowhere near the bed, or leave it across the room in the desk which has a power outlet and spot to plug a USB directly in to it.

  Wow! We have been traveling and staying in hotels since April 3rd and this property is by far the best so far. We almost canceled due to poor reviews but are so glad we didn't. From the pleasant and professional night clerk to the quiet location right off the highway and best price, this property was a gem. We booked a room with two beds on a high floor & were provided a huge room that could have held a dance party! The glass shower doors kept water inside. The mattresses were firm and very comfortable. If I could I'd give this property a 10 out of 5. Ignore the reviews and book! Highly recommend!!

  We visited during a very busy Friday night (event at the Wing’s Center and the Kalamazoo Holiday Parade). We were warmly greeted by the staff. Our original room booking wasn’t available but we received a room upgrade. Breakfast was great with eggs, hash browns, Canadian ham, waffles, pastries along with yogurt and cereals. Breakfast area was spacious and comfortable. Pool and gym looked good, but did not use. No issues with airport noise Nextdoor and we enjoyed the convenience of the location.

  My family & my extended family has been staying at this specific Hampton Inn for several stays in the last year. We all have been reward members with Hilton for decades. Earlier this month we booked a night unfortunately we got the date wrong. We go to check in & Kristy informed us we reserved the room for yesterday not the day we actually needed. We booked 5/5 not 5/6. This was an honest mistake on our part. Kristy informed me we were charged a “no show fee.” I thought this would be a nominal fee like $25. But we were charged the whole night fee. So very, very disappointed with the service. I do understand we made the mistake. I would have been so thrilled if Kristy could have been empowered to say “ I had to charge you for 2 nights but you get a nights credit for whenever you want to stay at this location.” I was unfortunately not pleased with the hospitality. ****Follow up. Per Hiltons response. I called on 6/3….mgr in meeting will call me back. I called again on 6/4….mgr gone for the day. She will call me back on 6/5. I called on 6/8…Mgr Charity said GM Melissa isn’t in & she sent me to her voicemail. As of today 6/17 still waiting for a call. I would like a refund or a credit, please.
