Sturtevant, Wisconsin receives a score of 72 out of 100 for Inclusive and Accessible Business Tourism. This score reflects solid foundational compliance with accessibility standards while identifying opportunities for enhanced inclusivity measures. Accessibility of Physical Infrastructure (18/25): Sturtevant demonstrates good baseline accessibility through ADA compliance across public venues and facilities. The community's well-maintained infrastructure and compact layout support navigation for attendees with mobility considerations. Venues feature wheelchair-accessible entrances, restrooms, accessible parking, ramps, and elevators where applicable. However, the documentation lacks specific examples of sidewalk accessibility, detailed ramp specifications, or comprehensive building-by-building accessibility audits that would demonstrate outstanding performance. Inclusivity Policies and Practices (18/25): The destination shows commitment to inclusive services with venues providing assistive listening devices upon request and spaces configurable for various accessibility requirements. Event planners can expect cooperation in arranging services for diverse needs including dietary accommodations and signage in multiple formats. However, there is limited evidence of proactive inclusive transportation options, specialized accessible hotel programs, or comprehensive policies specifically targeting travelers with diverse accessibility needs beyond standard ADA compliance. Provision of Information and Support Services (18/25): The destination benefits from Wisconsin's broader commitment to inclusive hospitality practices, and venues demonstrate willingness to accommodate diverse needs. However, the documentation does not provide specific examples of accessible websites, multilingual guides, clear wayfinding signposting, or dedicated support services for travelers with disabilities, suggesting this area requires development. Business-friendly Services for Visitors with Special Needs (18/25): Modern conference facilities in the greater Racine County area and proximity to Milwaukee provide access to well-equipped business venues with basic accessibility features. Commercial and industrial park developments include modern facilities designed for corporate events. However, specific examples of advanced business services tailored for travelers with special needs—such as accessible business centers, specialized meeting technology, or trained support staff—are not documented, indicating room for enhancement.
